Fitzroy, the Force is with you!

Melbourne's alternative side is full-force in Fitzroy, the inner-city mecca for all things cool and kooky.

 

The diversity of the many painted walls of Fitzroy is a tourist draw card, but don't limit yourself to just noticing street art, as multifaceted Fitzroy is full of character.

The Funky Fitzroy Market is held every 3rd Saturday of the month at Fitzroy Primary School, which is located at 319 George Street, Fitzroy.

Rose Street Artist's Market, Fitzroy, is another creative space to check out.  All the obvious hand-made wares, as well as modern sculptures to drool over for your home landscaping ideas.

 

Brunswick Street, the main boulevard, is home to tons of vintage clothing stores, bars, cafes, jazz, live music, shopping.

 

Johnson St is the hub for restaurants, Spanish music, decor wares and fashion.

 

So if its fine food and wine you're after, Fitzroy funk, or the Centre for Contemporary Photography then Fitzroy is guarranted full of fun fixes.
