You Yangs Regional Park: Near Lara, Victoria. Distinctive granite peaks of the You Yangs rise from the flat volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong.  You Yangs is also a fantastic park for mountain biking - it has two trails spanning over 50 kilometres.

 

I spent many a time here in my youth. Nothing better than having a family BBQ, which also included rock climbing for all that pent up childhood energy...along with the aroma of the snags cooking in the background, to boot!

 

You don't have to be Spiderman, but it's certainly fun pretending!  Or possibly Indiana Jones?...Lara Croft?...The Goonies?...

Here, obviously, the rock climbing is free, (as opposed to those indoor venues), but more importantly, letting the imagination run wild is priceless!
